TAKE ACTION THIS WEEK:

  • TODAY: St. Andrew’s Annual Meeting. Come for lunch and hear important information about our Parish and our plans for the future.

  • At the Annual Meeting, St. Andrew’s will elect a Warden, members of the Vestry, and a deputy to Diocesan Convention and District Nine Convocation. These are very important positions in planning for the life and future of our Parish. Is God inviting you to serve? Please see Tim Wong, Chuck Blackinton, Bonnie Bryant, Pete Deubler or Helen Patrosio for more information.

  • Thank you to all who have returned 2019 pledge cards. If you have not yet made your pledge, please let us hear from you.

  • New “Forward Day by Day” booklets for February-April, 2019 are available now in the tract racks by the red doors.

  • 2019 calendars are available at the rear of the Sanctuary, courtesy of Becker Funeral Home in Westwood. Please take one for your family’s use in the coming year.

LOOKING AHEAD INTO JANUARY/FEBRUARY:

  • Attention, Facebook Friends: During this Season after Epiphany, we’re reading Paul’s Letter to the Romans. There is a reference to the daily reading on the St. Andrew’s Facebook Page every weekday. (And it’s easy to catch up if you haven’t followed up to now.) Your comments and questions on the readings are welcome. This series is an initiative of the Good Book Club, and is sponsored by Forward Movement Press of the Episcopal Church. Join us!

  • Heads Up: Gertrude Hawke is coming soon. . . .

  • All are invited to spend Presidents’ Day on 5th Avenue, NYC with the American Guild of Organists. Organ recitals at St. Thomas Church and St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Monday, February 18, 9:00am – 5pm. $40.00.

ONGOING OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Sunday School is thriving! It’s time for Hearts Alive! —right after All God’s Children every first and third Sunday at 9:45 am. See Christine Barnhart and Cricket O’Neil for more information.

  • Coffee hour needs you. Coffee, cookies and a bottle of juice make fellowship happen after worship. The sign-up sheet is in the library—Please add your name!! Note: We need hosts for both the 9:00 am and the 10:15 am services. Thank you in advance!

  • AND MARK YOUR CALENDARS—Bishop Carlye Hughes and her husband, David Smedley will visit St. Andrew’s on SUNDAY, MAY 5. HOLD THAT DATE!!!

  • AND MARK YOUR CALENDARS AGAIN—

  • Confirmation will happen on Saturday, May 11, at 10:00 am, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Englewood.

  • You can sign up to give the altar flowers on Sunday morning in memory, or in thanksgiving, for someone or something close to your heart. The donation is $35.00, and the Altar Guild will order the flowers for you. If you prefer to bring and arrange your own flowers, a donation of just $5.00 helps offset the ongoing cost of altar candles, wafers, linens, etc.
