Food Drive In-gathering

This September St. Andrew’s will be conducting its Annual Food Drive. For 32 years we have been collecting donated bags of food from Harrington Park residents and the Emerson Shop Rite to distribute to local food pantries. This year our drive will support the local WholeSum Pantry located at the Church of the Holy Communion in Norwood. 

The WholeSum Pantry has their pantry open twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month from 10:00-12:00noon. The pantry serves over 150 families from northern Bergen Country and even over the New York border. The needs are greater than ever with unemployed individuals, struggling families facing inflationary food and energy costs, seniors living on fixed incomes, and bilingual families. In addition to distributing the food, the WholeSum Pantry also runs programs for their families about healthy cooking, back to school supplies and backpacks, and other family needs. We can all help by donating to the Food Drive through St. Andrew’s Church. 

We hope you will embrace our food drive. Our church families and congregation members, plus local scout groups will be distributing flyers the weekend of September 20th to remind you of our collection. Food collection of non-perishable goods (please check dates on your donations) will be gathered and can be dropped off to St. Andrew’s during the weekend of September 27th.
